Police officers on duty at Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examination centres will use body cameras to ensure security, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has said.
Addressing a press conference at the education ministry on Wednesday, Milon said the move is aimed at preventing the entry of outsiders at the centres.
He says the move aims to end disparities between boards and align standards nationwide
The restrictions will be in place from Jul 2 until the end of the exams
The government has revised the public exams law and will place it before parliament
Exams start at 2,697 centres nationwide under tighter security and CCTV monitoring
Examinees have to enter their centres at least 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled time
This year, around 1.86 million students registered for the SSC and equivalent examinations
