China has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its long-standing partnership with Nigeria, pledging deeper cooperation in governance, economic development and strategic engagement as the Communist Party of China celebrates its 105th anniversary.

In a statement marking the anniversary, issued on Tuesday in Abuja, China’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, said the CPC’s leadership had been the driving force behind China’s transformation into the world’s second-largest economy and a major engine of global growth.

According to the envoy, China’s rapid economic development and long-term social stability were achieved under the CPC’s leadership, which has remained committed to national rejuvenation and improving the lives of its people since its founding in 1921.

He noted that the Party had guided China through remarkable progress over the past 105 years, saying the country was now advancing high-quality development, strengthening its industrial capacity and recording major scientific and technological breakthroughs as it moves from the 14th to the 15th Five-Year Plan.
