Bangladesh has approved the creation of three new Upazilas and one new police station under an administrative reorganisation.
The move will create new units in Chattogram, Cumilla and Mymensingh, taking the total number of Upazilas in Bangladesh to 498 and police stations to 640.
They will serve as full-time administrators until a new district council is formed or further orders are issued
All 50-bed rural hospitals will be expanded with additional staff and equipment
One of the transferred officers has been moved to the Police Lines after being linked to a yaba-related incident
A cabinet committee led by the finance minister will refine the draft before final approval
The deployment will run until Jun 30
