The Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) issued a statement on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, confirming the deaths of four members of its military wing during recent clashes with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), vowing that the actions will not go unanswered.

The statement followed claims made by media channels affiliated with the IRGC, which had published images of several bodies and captured weaponry, alleging that six PJAK members had been killed.

PJAK’s military wing, known as the East Kurdistan Defense Units (YRK), stated in its announcement that four of its fighters, two women and two men, were killed following a period of resistance against recent IRGC assaults. The group noted that the identities of the deceased fighters would be published at a later date.

In the statement, PJAK emphasized that during the recent conflict involving the United States, Israel, and the Islamic Republic, it adhered to what it terms the “Third Line,” refusing to support any faction or launch attacks against the Iranian government. However, the group asserted that following the recent agreements finalized between Iran and the United States, the IRGC, security, and intelligence apparatuses have significantly escalated their operations against its forces.
