ByteDance's TikTok reportedly working on settlement with 15-year-old boy ahead of second landmark trial this month
TikTok is finalising a settlement related to a lawsuit brought by a teenager over claims of social media addictiveness that allegedly led to mental health harms, ahead of a Los Angeles trial scheduled for later this month, Bloomberg reported.
The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
Google’s YouTube last month reached a settlement in the same case, which was randomly selected from thousands of similar lawsuits as a bellwether.
