The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Upshave released a glimpse that introduces the movie's female characters. The upcoming pan-Indian movie, originally shot in Kannada and English, stars Yash in the lead and is set to release on August 26, 2026.Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the movie features Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Kiara Advani in prominent roles. The teaser, titled Ladies & Ladies, begins with a warning. It asks kids to stay away from the video.“Love makes monsters of women. It’s a beautiful illusion if one understands the depth of its deception,” says a voice-over as we see a glimpse of each of the members of the female cast. Nayanthara is seen riding a superbike and involved in an action sequence. Kiara, Tara and Huma look stunning while Rukmini is introduced mysteriously, as her character points a gun at somebody.Yash’s character is seen in a slick action sequence involving female fighters. The video once again hints at the film’s genre, which is touted as a period actioner. The makers initially targeted a March 19, 2026 release, setting up a major box-office clash with Dhurandhar 2. However, plans changed earlier this year as escalating geopolitical tensions in West Asia created challenges for the film’s international rollout, prompting the producers to rethink the release strategy.ALSO READ: ‘Toxic’ teaser: Yash shows grand machismo in Geetu Mohandas’ stylistic actionerIn March, production banner KVN Productions shifted the film to June 4, citing disruptions to overseas distribution. High-octane action is choreographed by Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick) along with National Award-winning duo Anbariv & Kecha Khamphakdee.
