The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has postponed the restoration of several important services for a day. Such services include online claim submission and passbook downloads. These EPFO services will not be available today (Wednesday, July 1, 2026) as well.Earlier, the EPFO had announced that its member portal, employer portal and UMANG app services will be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled system migration from June 26 to 30, 2026.When will EPF claim and passbook services be restored?As per a message on the Unified member portal, the EPFO's online services, including the member portal, employer portal and services on the UMANG app, will remain unavailable from 12:00 am on June 26, 2026, to 11:59 pm on July 1, 2026, due to scheduled system migration. The services are expected to resume from 12:00 am on July 2, 2026.Which EPFO services have been affected during the EPFO portal’s scheduled maintenance?The EPFO says that during the migration period, EPFO members will not be able to avail these services:Members will not be able to submit new EPF claims or track the processing of existing claims during the migration period.Employers will be unable to file Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) while the system upgrade is underway.UAN linking for newly joined employees won’t be available during this period.Also, members will not be able to access or download their e-Passbooks until the services are restored.How to check EPF balance using missed callIf you are registered on the UAN site, you can access your EPF balance information by making a missed call from your registered mobile number to 011-22901406. Make sure that your bank account information, Aadhaar and PAN are seeded with your UAN. You might even request that your employer plant them for you. There is no charge for this service.EPFO services on UMANG AppThe UMANG App (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is an official government platform that allows users to easily access Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) services on their smartphones without needing to visit an EPFO office.Many EPFO services remain temporarily unavailable on the Umang app during the maintenance period.Users can use the UMANG app to check their PF balance, raise claim, apply for a scheme certificate or a UAN, seed UAN with Aadhaar, check claim status, search for establishment, view EPFO office address, register grievance and apply for the Jeevan Pramaan certificate.
