Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are expected to take over Madison Square Garden for two events celebrating their wedding, ABC News and CNN reported on June 30, citing sources familiar with the plans. The couple will reportedly kick things off Thursday, July 2, with a more intimate event at 6 p.m. described as a "rehearsal" for about 100 people, CNN reported. On Friday, July 3, the venue is expected to host a larger celebration for roughly 1,000 guests, beginning with a late-afternoon "cocktail party" and continuing until 4 a.m. Saturday, July 4.Both events will enforce a strict no-phone policy for everyone inside the venue, including guests, vendors, and security personnel, ABC News reported.USA TODAY confirmed permits were filed seeking street closures near Madison Square Garden from July 2 through July 4. But the records do not identify Swift or Kelce or indicate whether the event is directly connected to the couple. The request also includes tents outside Madison Square Garden and street closures around the iconic venue.Even as production equipment and trucks have been spotted around the arena, the couple has not confirmed when or where they plan to marry.Despite the speculation, very few details have emerged, and almost no leaks have surfaced. Travis Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, and his wife, Kylie Kelce, are expected to attend, as are fellow NFL star George Kittle and actor-singer Suki Waterhouse.A star-studded guest list is also rumored to include Selena Gomez, the Haim sisters, Zoë Kravitz, Emma Stone, Gigi Hadid, Ed Sheeran, and Jack Antonoff.Ahead of the reported wedding festivities, the couple made one of their latest public appearances together on Monday, June 22, at Tight End University in Nashville, where they attended the NFL summit's welcome reception.Beyond the reported no-phone policy, another detail has emerged: Guests have been asked to leave their presents at home."They said absolutely no gifts," San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle told "Extra" at the Tight Ends & Friends concert in Nashville on Tuesday, June 23. "But I was thinking, Travis, for some reason, really likes old coins, so I might get him an old coin.""Sounds expensive, too," Kittle quipped.Contributing: Saman Shafiq, USA TODAY; Bryan West, Nashville Tennessean
