Russia's active spread of disinformation negatively affects Canadians.
According to Ukrinform's correspondent, Yvan Baker, the chair of the parliamentary friendship group with Ukraine in the Canadian parliament, stated this in an interview with Ukrinform.
"Russian disinformation affects Canadians in a variety of ways. It obviously relates to the war in Ukraine and people’s perceptions of that war, but Russia spreads disinformation on a broad range of issues," Baker said.

He added that "That’s why the Government of Canada is taking several steps to protect Canadians from disinformation." "This includes efforts by intelligence agencies, law enforcement, policing organizations, and agencies responsible for protecting our elections," the MP noted.
