Smart devices maker Fire Boltt plans to invest $50 million, or around ₹472 crore, to expand into the smartphone segment, a top official of the company said on Tuesday.The company has announced the launch of an indigenously manufactured smartphone brand, boltt, from mid-August onwards, company founder and CEO Arnav Kishore said.“boltt has committed an initial investment of over USD 50 million towards product development, manufacturing, marketing, distribution and ecosystem expansion. The investment will continue to scale in line with market demand,” he said.The company plans to roll out 4G and 5G smartphone models in the price range of ₹10,000-₹15,000 per unit.Kishore said boltt has set a target to sell 5 lakh to 10 lakh units in the first 4-5 months.The company plans a nationwide rollout before the festive season.Published on July 1, 2026
