The governments has reduced the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 183.50, effective July 1, 2026, marking the first cut in commercial cylinder rates this year, according to media reports.The 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder price fell by Rs 183.50 in Delhi and Lucknow, by Rs 174 in Kolkata, by Rs 181.50 in Chandigarh, and by Rs 173 in Patna.Also read: Government lifts curbs on petrol, diesel sales at pumps as global oil prices fallIn Delhi, the 19 kg cylinder now costs Rs 2,930, down from Rs 3,113.50 in June. In Chandigarh, the price stands at Rs 2,954.50, while in Patna it is Rs 3,227. In Kolkata, the price dropped to Rs 3,081.50 from Rs 3,255.50 in the previous month.Domestic 14.2 kg LPG cylinder prices remained unchanged for July. The cylinder is priced at Rs 942 in Delhi, Rs 968 in Kolkata, Rs 941.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 957.50 in Chennai.The revision follows a decline in global crude oil prices after the United States and Iran agreed to extend their ceasefire by 60 days, easing tensions in the region.Also read: Nayara Energy cuts petrol price by Rs 5, diesel by Rs 3 amid softening oil pricesThe development also eased pressure on shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a route that accounts for about 20 per cent of global oil and gas transportation.
