Odeyemi Olayiwole, chief executive officer of Inspired2Lead, has urged organisations to prioritise the development of high-performing, co-creative teams as a strategy for achieving long-term success and maintaining a competitive advantage.
Olayiwole made the call while delivering a keynote address on “Building a High-Performing Team” at the Executive Leadership Retreat organised by the Workplace Leadership Institute Canada recently in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The retreat brought together executives, business leaders and professionals from several countries to discuss leadership strategies and the changing challenges confronting organisations.
Speaking at the event, Olayiwole said organisational success depends more on the strength of teams than on individual brilliance.
“Talent doesn’t win championships; teamwork does. Organizations that desire long-term success and sustainable competitive advantage must intentionally build high-performing teams that collaborate, innovate, and execute together,” he said.
