Meta Quest 3MetaMeta’s Peak Summer Sale has begun, and offers significant discounts on more than 1000 VR titles for Meta Quest 3 and other headsets. It’s worth checking to see if something on your wishlist has been discounted, or just having a browse. However, I’ve had a dig through the discounts to make some suggestions for titles you may want to try out if you don’t yet own them. All are quality games, and some are at their lowest price seen to date. The Meta Store Peak Summer Sale ends on July 5. You only have a few days to pick these up before the prices rise once more. Arcade Paradise VR$9.99 down from $19.99You run a launderette-slash-arcade, and get to play the games you buy for the venue, as well as managing the place. This started off as a “flat game” but makes perfect sense in VR.Play Puzzles & Games on ForbesAction Hero$5.99 down from $9.99An action title that has attracted comparisons to classic Superhot. You star in five films, re-enacting action sequences from them. Full of fun references, and you can make Action Hero as difficult or breezy as you like through its various modes. Arken Age$17.99 down from $29.99A first-person action-adventure and VR exclusive from Vitruvius VR, originally released for PSVR2 and Steam VR before coming to Quest. It made the jump in style, though, providing AAA-style thrills minus the tether. Bulletstorm$9.99 down from $29.99This is an older title, released on Quest in 2024 — while the console original is of course from all the way back in 2011. However, while it received a pretty poor reception at launch, the game has since improved significantly and is now well worth another look. It’s a quirky AA(A) console title from another era, and is a lot of fun.Down the Rabbit Hole$7.99 down from $19.99Less frenetic than these other picks, Down the Rabbit Hole is a puzzle adventure based on scenes and characters from the Alice in Wonderland story. A mostly family-friendly affair, it’s rated for ages 7+. And the game world is viewed as a series of dioramas, less likely to cause nausea than a first-person view. Dungeons of Eternity$14.99 down from $29.99Physics-drenched dungeon crawler in which you play solo or as a team of up to four. As usual with these titles, it is best experienced with friends. One-player does work just fine, but there’s not a super-strong story to weave the experience together. Into the Radius$16.99 down from $29.99A horror-themed survival title that has more than a hint of the STALKER series to it. That alone tells you it’s not for everyone, but it’s highly immersive and has a real knack of putting you on edge, in a mostly good way. Its sequel is in the sale too, but is currently in early access for Meta Quest 3.
