E-commerce major Amazon has announced a collaboration with the Telangana government to integrate AI literacy into the curriculum in government schools across the State. To be delivered through the Amazon Future Engineer (AFE) programme, the initiative will equip one million students with AI skills every year. The programme introduces AI literacy for students in Classes 6–9 through a digital learning textbook developed by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). Pi Jam Foundation will help with implementation, while hands-on training will be provided by edtech platform CodeMitra.The initiative will reach out to 4 million underserved government school students by 2030. It includes curriculum integration, hands-on learning, career exposure, and teacher training, according to Samir Kumar, Country Manager, Amazon India, said in a statement here on TuesdayTo support implementation, the Telangana government has trained more than 28,000 teachers and is strengthening classroom infrastructure to facilitate interactive learning.Published on June 30, 2026
