Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada held a telephone call on Tuesday.The call addressed bilateral relations between the two countries and followed up on the outcomes of the recent visit by the Canadian Minister to the Sultanate of Oman. It also focused on building upon the understandings achieved during the visit to enhance cooperation and political consultation, as well as expanding the horizons of partnership in areas of mutual interest.The two sides reviewed developments in the regional and international landscapes. Both sides underscored the importance of intensifying political and diplomatic efforts, and of fostering a conducive environment for the implementation of constructive understandings—aimed at reducing sources of tension and opening broader horizons for security, stability and prosperity.
