KwaZulu-Natal health facilities remain operational amid protest concerns.
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health says all public health facilities across the province remain fully operational, with no disruptions or security incidents reported despite concerns surrounding nationwide protest action linked to the widely publicised June 30 shutdown calls.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the department sought to reassure residents that hospitals, clinics and other public healthcare facilities across KwaZulu-Natal's 11 health districts were functioning normally and continuing to provide uninterrupted services.
“The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health wishes to assure members of the public that all public health facilities across the province remain fully operational, with no protest-related incidents reported as of this morning,” the department said.
The province has heightened monitoring measures as authorities keep watch on developments related to demonstrations associated with calls for action over illegal immigration.
