Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves have discussed the possibility of financing Ukraine's defense using frozen Russian assets.
According to Ukrinform, Fedorov reported this on Telegram.
"I held a meeting with UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves. I urged the swift unblocking of funding under the ERA program and the allocation of funds from frozen Russian assets to support the Defense Forces. For us, there are three consistent priorities: air defense, long-range munitions, and Ukrainian drones. These are what should receive priority funding from partners today," Fedorov said.
He added that he briefed Reeves on Ukraine's AIR-LAND-ECONOMY strategy and defense procurement reform.
"Ukraine is transitioning to open competitive procedures to use budget funds more efficiently and direct more financing to the Defense Forces," he said.
