Josiam with his baby girl Azalea
Despite being told by doctors shortly after her birth that they did not know whether their baby girl would survive, four-month-old Azalea continues to defy the odds, spending every day of her young life in hospital as she awaits life-changing surgery.
Born with a rare condition that caused a large mass to develop on her tongue, Azalea has never experienced life outside a hospital ward. She cannot feed normally, requires constant specialised medical care and has endured countless medical procedures in her first few months of life.
Her journey, however, has also highlighted the vital role organisations such as the Children's Hospital Trust play in supporting families facing the unimaginable.
While medical teams fight to save children's lives, the Trust's Family Care Project helps ensure parents have access to the essentials many often go without while spending weeks or even months at their child's bedside.
