Katie Price has been slammed by PETA yet again after she bought a pet just days after saying her cats had gone missing from her home whilst she was in Dubai09:56, 30 Jun 2026Updated 09:57, 30 Jun 2026Katie Price has been slammed by animal charity PETA after she revealed that she had bought another pet. This comes just days after she posted that two of her cats had gone missing from her England home whilst she was in Dubai.Price shared on 28 June that she and her husband Lee Andrews were "proud parents" of a "baby boy" as they signed the paperwork to buy a new dog and spent £2,000 on the pomsky puppy. But while she was happy with the purchase, PETA were less so, having previously called for Katie to be banned from buying more pets.In a statement given to the Daily Mail, PETA UK's Senior Vice President Mimi Beckechi called Price's decision a "new low" and repeated the calls to ban her from getting another pet.She said: "While one of her cats, Doris, is reportedly still missing, instead of being worried sick and out searching for her, as any caring, responsible guardian would, she has flown to another country and acquired a new dog, as easily as one replaces a pair of socks."The statement continued that it "added insult to injury" that she bought a pomsky, a cross between and Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky, as they would not fair well in the Dubai heat. Beckechi asked the authorities to "ban her from keeping pets". She also said the charity's offer to pay Price to never get another pet was still on the table. The charity previously offered her £5,000 to agree to never buy another animal. In the letter dated February 2024, they said: "While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned." At least eight pets are believed to have died in her care.Meg Matthews also joined in the furore as she shared a photo of Katie with her new pet and fumed: "Why buy a puppy when you don't live in Dubai. Huskys are hard to train," she added. It comes after Katie has suffered a string of heartaches from losing her pets. In 2023, her German Shepherd Blade was hit by a car near her home in East Sussex, this came only months after her Pomeranian Sharon was said to be killed in an accident on the same road. The year before, her German Shepherd Queenie was also hit by a vehicle, as Price alleged a pizza delivery driver had run her over. In 2020, another dog, Sparkle, was also hit by a car near her home, as was a horse in 2017, after they escaped from a field. Also in 2020, her French bulldog Rolo died after being trapped under an electric chair. The dog was a present for her daughter Princess, who was 13 at the time. She revealed in her memoir: "That day it had gone under the reclining chair to sleep and no-one had realised and it had been crushed."A family chameleon died in 2018 and in 2024, her sphynx cat kitten Frog was put down at just five months old, after being diagnosed with a "neurological condition".Price has also given away many of her pets. In 2021, she gave her French Bulldog Precious to a crew member on Mucky Mansion. This came less than a year after the dog joined the family. She gave away another puppy a few years earlier, as he kept breaking free from her home. The Mirror has reached out to Price's representatives for comment.Article continues belowFor more of the latest showbiz news and gossip, follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
