Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed has said that around 1,500 cases over traffic violations been filed so far through surveillance by artificial intelligence (AI) cameras installed on roads across Dhaka to improve traffic management and reduce congestion.
He also revealed that at least 38,000 traffic summons remain pending, mainly due to complications such as changes in vehicle ownership, which have delayed the resolution of many cases.
