National Highways said there were 11 miles of congestion on approach earlier, with no estimated time for when the lanes could reopen.National Highways said the closures are due to emergency road surface repairs. A statement said: "As a result of these works, the link road from the M11 southbound to the M25 anti-clockwise at J27 is also closed."If this impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time as is 11 miles of congestion on approach to the lane closures. This is due to emergency road surface repairs which have closed lanes 1 and 2 (of 3) within J27."As a result of these works, the link road from the M11 southbound to the M25 anti-clockwise at J27 is also closed."Contractors have been on site overnight carrying out repairs, however an additional defect has been discovered this morning and as such, the lane closures remain in place to allow for further repairs to take place."There is not yet an estimated time for the works to be complete."If this impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time as is 11 miles of congestion on approach to the lane closures.
