Turkey has condemned Israeli military operations in southern Syria, describing them as a violation of Syrian sovereignty and calling on the international community to act to halt the attacks.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry criticised Israeli strikes targeting the governorates of Quneitra and Daraa.

“We strongly condemn Israel’s attacks on Quneitra and Daraa, which violate Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty,” the ministry said.

The statement added that the attacks endangered civilians and their property and described them as a clear violation of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
