Tata AIA Life Insurance has launched two new products, Sampoorna Care - Cancer and Sampoorna Care - Cancer Fund, aimed at addressing income loss and savings disruption caused by a cancer diagnosis.Sampoorna Care - Cancer offers cover of up to ₹50 lakh, with policyholders able to choose between a 100 per cent lump sum payout, a regular monthly income, or a combination of an upfront payout followed by an income stream for up to five years. The product also carries a 30-year rate guarantee on premiums, a Diagnostic Benefit to cover early-stage screening costs, and an Overseas Treatment Booster providing an additional 10 per cent of the sum assured for international treatment within a specified period after diagnosis.Sampoorna Care - Cancer Fund adds a Health Fund component, allowing customers to set aside savings at 1x to 3x of their cancer protection premium, with tax-free withdrawals for health-related expenses. It also includes Accidental Total and Permanent Disability cover and an option for return of premium if no cancer diagnosis occurs during the policy term.The company said the launch followed consumer research showing 48 per cent of respondents wanted payouts structured as income rather than a lump sum, with 47 per cent preferring monthly income. It said 76 per cent wanted the income to continue for multiple years, with 42 per cent preferring a two-year payout period and 34 per cent preferring five years.Sujeet Kothare, Chief Business Officer – Proprietary Business, Propositions & Marketing at Tata AIA, said the two products were designed to cover income replacement, savings continuity and treatment support together.Sampoorna Care - Cancer Fund comprises Tata AIA Health SIP and Tata AIA Health Buddy, while Sampoorna Care - Cancer is a variant of the Tata AIA Sampoorna Care product.Tata AIA reported total premium income of ₹38,164 crore for FY26, up 21 per cent from FY25, and ranks among the top three private insurers by Individual Weighted New Business Premium, at ₹10,018 crore.Published on June 30, 2026
