Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez has become one of the most coveted players in English football this summer, with Premier League trio Aston Villa, Brighton and Hove Albion and Bournemouth all vying for the signature of the Millwall forward — though the path to a top-flight move is proving far from straightforward, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Azeez, 25, produced an exceptional campaign in the EFL Championship last season, contributing 18 goals and assists across the course of the season to earn a place in the divisional Team of The Season and attract sustained attention from the Premier League.
A source close to the situation, Clinton Ayooye, told Footy-Africa that the winger is keen to test himself in the top flight, and Millwall are prepared to sanction a departure if their valuation is met.
That valuation, however, is proving to be a significant sticking point. The South London club have already rejected a £20m offer from Ipswich Town and are holding firm at £30m for a player who has yet to make a single Premier League appearance.
