The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has partnered with Simplified IQ Labs Ltd to strengthen noise pollution monitoring, compliance enforcement and public reporting through digital technology.
The agency disclosed in a statement on Sunday that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the technology firm as part of efforts to introduce scientific and data-driven approaches to managing environmental noise across Lagos State.
The agreement was signed at LASEPA’s headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, with the agency’s General Manager, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, senior officials and representatives of Simplified IQ Labs Ltd in attendance.
Ajayi said the partnership would improve the state’s environmental regulation system by deploying digital tools for monitoring, reporting, documentation and enforcement of noise pollution standards.
He said the initiative reflected the Lagos State Government’s commitment to using innovation and technology to build a more efficient and transparent environmental management system.
