Almost immediately after its makeover wrapped early this month, the pool’s new blue bottom lining began to crack and three dead ducks were found in it, all while its stubborn algae bloom continued to persist.Thin-skinned as ever, Trump baselessly blamed the mess on “radical left vandals,” a “sabotage conspiracy” that Oliver called “laughably weak.”Amid the fallout from his failed refurbishment, Trump ordered the pool to be fenced off from the public and patrolled by the National Guard.
