MagSafe is typically known for charging only, but there are use cases for it as just a mounting technology/use case. If you don’t want to charge your iPhone in your car or you have a wired CarPlay setup, you might want to use it just for mounting. You get the easy installation and perfect eye-level viewing of a vent mount without sacrificing your air conditioning. It’s really sturdy.
