The Department of Finance (DOF) has drawn commitment from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) to advance development of the country’s first-ever offshore wind farm and take on other green energy projects.

In a statement, the DOF said Finance Secretary Frederick Go had met with executives of Danish firm CIP to discuss key project milestones, financing arrangements and preparations for the $3-billion 901-megawatt (MW) offshore wind project in Camarines Sur.

CIP’s project is in partnership with Ayala-led ACEN Corp., which acquired a 25-percent minority stake in the project last year.
