Samsung continues to prep the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 series as more leaks bubble up to the surface. The latest claims the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Z Fold 8 will get much brighter displays, and the company’s most rugged watch gets the highest waterproof rating it can, within reason.

According to another leak via Ice Universe on Weibo, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8 are getting notable power upgrades. That comes in the form of an increased charging rating of 45W. That’s up from just 25W on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. If the leak is accurate, all three devices, regardless of spec package, will have a more competitive charging rate.

Previous leaks note that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra houses a 5,000mAh battery. The wider model Samsung seems keen on making the base variant will likely come with a smaller power capacity, but may charge slightly faster.

The most recent leak also points out that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is going to be capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3,600 nits. Again, it’s unclear what’s in store for the smaller, seemingly less powerful variant. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 of yesteryear had a peak rating of 2,600 nits – so a relatively big jump.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 gets a display brightness upgrade, too. The leak notes the display will jump to 5,000 nits, outdoing Samsung’s foldables. The Super AMOLED panel on the previous Watch Ultra reached a max of 3,000 nits. This would mean an ever bigger jump between versions.
