President Donald Trump reacted to a major Supreme Court loss Monday by pressuring five Republican senators to flip their positions and vote to pass the SAVE America Act.On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled against the Trump administration and upheld a Mississippi law allowing mail-in ballots to be counted if they’re postmarked by Election Day and received within five days. The decision hamstrings a key Republican priority ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Posting on Truth Social, the president called the ruling a “tremendous loss.”

“The fact that ‘people’s’ votes are allowed to be counted LONG AFTER an Election is over, it is more important than ever to pass THE SAVE AMERICA ACT,” he wrote. The legislation has bottlenecked other matters on Capitol Hill, as the president said he will not sign other bills into law until the SAVE America Act passes the Senate. Trump said on Monday there was “no excuse” for politicians to oppose the following three specific provisions included in the text:

ALL VOTERS MUST SHOW PHOTO I.D. (IDENTIFICATION!)

ALL VOTERS MUST SHOW PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP

NO MAIL-IN BALLOTS (EXCEPT FOR ILLNESS, DISABILITY, MILITARY DEPLOYMENT, OR TRAVEL!)
