WIMBLEDON – Blood could be seen seeping through the right shoe of defending Wimbledon men’s champion Jannik Sinner in his opening-round match on Monday.
The Italian top seed is locked in a tight battle with Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic on Centre Court, with the match going to a fifth set.
Sinner suffered a nasty fall during the third set of the match, although it was unclear whether this incident caused his foot to start bleeding.

“It would seem the blood on Jannik Sinner’s shoe isn’t causing him any trouble at the moment because he hasn’t called for the trainer,” Tim Henman said on BBC’s coverage.
