Police are asking the public for information after they say a baby was found dead inside a portable restroom at a Michigan music festival over the weekend.According to Michigan State Police, "the body of a neonate" was discovered by an employee of the restroom vending company during "routine maintenance" on Sunday, June 28, in the camping area of Electric Forest, the state's largest music festival.Neonates are 28 days old or younger, according to the World Health Organization.State police told USA TODAY no arrests had been made in the incident as of Monday, June 29, and that the case remained under investigation."If you were in the area and observed anything unusual, or if you have information that you believe may be relevant, we encourage you to come forward," troopers wrote on social media. "We appreciate the public's cooperation and ask that people avoid speculation on social media out of respect for the investigation and those affected."Electric Forest also released a statement on their social media page."Forest Family, it causes us so much pain to have to share this difficult news with you," they said on social media. "Michigan State Police continues to investigate this tragic event if you can assist in any way.
