Daytime maximum temperatures in several Ukrainian regions set new historical records for June 25-28, surpassing previous highs recorded for those dates.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.
According to meteorologists, the highest daytime temperatures have been recorded in southern and western Ukraine. In particular, Lutsk registered an all-time high of 36.7°C on Sunday.
In the Zakarpattia region, temperature records were also set on Friday (33.4°C), Saturday (34.6°C), and Sunday (36.4°C).
The Odesa and Rivne regions also set temperature records on June 28, with 36.2°C and 36.0°C, respectively.
