…two teachers killed, NECO candidates abducted
Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have killed two teachers and abducted an unspecified number of students during national examinations in the Askira/Uba local government area of Borno State.
The attackers stormed Lassa Day Secondary School in Uba at about 9am, arriving in a convoy of utility vehicles and motorcycles. Witnesses stated that the insurgents, dressed in counterfeit military and forest guard uniforms, bypassed a nearby military checkpoint unopposed before shooting sporadically for nearly an hour.
