June 29 (UPI) -- Polish striker Robert Lewandowski agreed to sign with the Chicago Fire.

Sources told The Athletic, ESPN and the BBC about the pact Sunday night. Lewandowski is expected to sign a two-year pact with the MLS club, which he will join this summer.

Lewandowski's contract with La Liga power FC Barcelona expired after the 2025-26 campaign. He spent the last four seasons with the Spanish giants. That run included three La Liga titles.

Lewandowski also totaled 10 Bundesliga titles through his successful runs with German clubs Borussia Dortmund and Bayern. He won a Champions League crown with Bayern in 2020.
