Riyadh: Saudi Arabia ranked first among G20 countries in the 2025 Safety Index, according to data from the UN Sustainable Development Goals indicators database released by the Kingdom’s General Authority for Statistics on Monday.

The findings showed that 97.7 percent of the population feels safe walking alone at night in their neighborhoods, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

They also found that 94.9 percent of women, 97 percent of Saudi citizens, and 97.2 percent of people aged 60-64 feel safe walking alone at night in residential areas.

The results highlight the efforts of government agencies to maintain high levels of safety across the Kingdom, the SPA added.

It aligns with initiatives to strengthen security, stability, and quality of life across economic, food, environmental, health, social, political, intellectual, technological and cybersecurity sectors in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
