JOS — Security operatives have foiled an attempted intrusion by suspected gunmen into the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The incident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday when security personnel on duty reportedly detected suspicious movements around the institute.

Sources said the operatives responded swiftly, secured the area and forced the suspected intruders to flee into nearby bushes before they could gain access to the facility.

No casualties were recorded, and normal activities at the institute were not disrupted.
