Key Facts
—The project. Colombia’s first Pacific-coast gas import terminal is due to start operating on November 1, landing fuel through the port of Buenaventura.
—First flows. It will inject sixty million cubic feet of imported gas a day for the state oil company Ecopetrol, with more to follow in December.
—The backup. The operator is in talks to add up to one hundred and thirty million cubic feet a day for three power plants if drought strikes.
