SportBoxingRicky HattonRicky Hatton passed away last September and it has since been suggested the boxing legend left a huge fortune to his children11:05, 29 Jun 2026Updated 11:22, 29 Jun 2026Ricky Hatton's son Campbell has dismissed suggestions he has become a multi-millionaire following his dad's death.‌Former two-weight world champion Hatton – who had been planning a return to the ring – was found dead aged 46 at his home in Hyde, Manchester on September 14 last year. Hatton had been open in the past about his struggles with alcohol and drugs.‌At the inquest into his death during March, a coroner concluded the official cause of death was hanging, but said it was not clear Hatton had intended to take his own life. Hatton left behind his three children, Campbell, 25, Millie, 13, and Fearne, 12.‌It was reported following his death that Hatton's children would inherit £40million thanks to their dad's property empire, but Campbell has now addressed the rumours ."I've seen it in the papers that there's these millions out there and it's been left to me and my sisters, but I've not seen it," he told ITV. "I don't even know what my dad left but hopefully we can get to the bottom of that."Campbell recently announced he will return to the ring with influencer boxing outfit Misfits Boxing having retired last summer following a four-year professional career. And he added: "I've got to fight the same as everyone else does who goes into boxing. I didn't have the upbringing that people thought.Article continues below"I grew up in a council house with my mum and I've not had these millions since. Thats part of... I've listed all my reasons for getting back in the ring but that's a big part of it as well. I need to think about my future as well as my family's.“Being back in the gym is working wonders for me. I had a bad, bad year last year, and sort of had no direction with anything, and led me down quite a dark path. I am not just getting by now or plodding through. I am enjoying my life and am like living again, so that is a massive change. (I am) getting excited about things again. I look back with pride a little bit from how far I have come."Choose Daily Mirror as a 'Preferred Source' on Google News for quick access to the news you value.‌Ricky Hatton
