China and Kenya are seeking to deepen cooperation in media, culture and emerging technologies through the 2026 Seeing China - Hubei Media Week in Africa.
Themed "Sharing, Exchanging, Cooperating, Innovating", the week-long event, which opened on Friday, brings together broadcasters, filmmakers, government officials and media professionals to explore collaboration in content creation, artificial intelligence, talent development and cultural exchanges.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tang Jianjun, counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Kenya, said the initiative will help deepen friendship between the Chinese and African people while supporting broader China-Africa cooperation.
