Stefanos Tsitsipas has ended his professional partnership with his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas, just ahead of Wimbledon.

Tsitsipas, who reached a career-high No 3 in the ATP rankings five years ago, has struggled to regain the form that once made him one of the world’s top players. The 2026 season has been particularly difficult, with the 27-year-old holding a 16-14 record and falling to No 88 in the rankings.

Thomas Perrin of the Mouratoglou Academy will take over as Tsitsipas’ coach, with Patrick Mouratoglou providing oversight when his schedule allows. The arrangement is initially set to run through the end of 2026, with an option to continue.

“Now I want to start making my own decisions and deciding for myself,” Tsitsipas told the Greek sports website SDNA. “I believe my father has a lot to offer my other siblings and younger players who are coming up – that is where he should focus. I have other things in mind that I don’t think align with the way we have been working together recently.”
