Emma Raducanu pulled out of Wimbledon overnight, just hours before her first-round match against Antonia Ruzic.
Raducanu, 23, had barely trained this week and cut short a practice session on Saturday afternoon.
But the Brit was bullish on her efforts to play on Sunday, insisting she was “going to do everything” to try and play the first match on No 1 Court.
However, she revealed late on Sunday night that she has a stress fracture in her right leg.
