Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha welcomed Kuwait’s decision to complete the internal legal procedures necessary for the agreement between the Ukrainian and Kuwaiti governments on cooperation in the military and other fields to enter into force.

He wrote about this on the social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.

“I am grateful to the Аmir and the Government of Kuwait, as well as to my colleague Sheikh Jarrah Al-Sabah, for their support and facilitation. The entry into force of this Agreement marks a new stage in the Ukrainian-Kuwaiti partnership across military-technical, defense, and security spheres,” Sybiha stated.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized that this step creates opportunities for implementing joint projects, exchanging expertise and modern technologies, and deepening strategic dialogue between the two countries.

“Ukraine, which faces Russian aggression every day, has accumulated unique experience in defending the state against modern security threats. This step serves as a logical continuation of Ukraine’s wider strategy of deepening ties and security cooperation with the Gulf states,” Sybiha emphasized.
