Sindh Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho said security personnel immediately retaliated, leading to an intense gun battle inside the complex.An explosion was heard at the start of the assault, although authorities said the exact cause was still under investigation.Sindh Home Minister Zia ul Hasan Lanjhar said commandos from the Special Security Unit and the Anti-Terrorist Force joined Rangers personnel in an operation to neutralise the attackers and secure the area.Local media reported that the attack unfolded near several educational institutions and the Pakistan Meteorological Department, triggering panic in the neighbourhood. Police, paramilitary forces and rapid response teams quickly sealed off the area, while surrounding roads were closed as the clearance operation continued.Authorities have not yet revealed the identity or number of the attackers, and investigations into the assault remain underway.
