KARACHI: A government school from Sindh — Govt Girls Lower Secondary School Tando Mir Ghulam Hussain — has brought international recognition to Pakistan as it has been named among the top 10 finalists worldwide in the community collaboration category of the World’s Best School Prizes 2026, presented by T4 Education.

This was announced by Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Saturday.

It said T4 Education is an international organisation that recognises outstanding educational institutions from around the world. The World’s Best School Prizes are regarded among the most prestigious global awards in education. The awards recognise schools in five categories — community collaboration, environmental action, innovation, overcoming adversity and supporting healthy lives.

This year, thousands of public and private schools from around the world submitted applications and after an extensive evaluation process, an international panel of experts selected only 10 finalist schools worldwide in each category.
