MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Tourism (DOT) on Friday rolled out a domestic tourism campaign offering more than 3,000 discounted travel deals as it seeks to boost travel during the industry’s lean season, according to a department statement.

Dubbed “Discover More to Love,” the campaign will run from July to November and features discounted hotel stays, travel packages and promotional airfares from partner tourism establishments, the DOT said.

Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay said the initiative was developed in response to calls from the private sector for stronger government support in promoting domestic travel, particularly during the slower months for the tourism industry.
