Sports Desk, June 27 (EFE).- England advanced to the round of 16 on Saturday as the top team in Group L after beating Panama 2-0, Croatia advanced as the second-place team, triumphing 2-1 over Ghana, which also passed as one of the eight best third-place teams in the 2026 World Cup.
England struggled in the first half, but in a five-minute span, from the 62nd to the 67th minute, they handed the already-eliminated Panama national team its third loss with two goals.
Bellingham scored his second goal of the tournament in the 62nd minute, and Kane added the third in the 67th, cementing his status as his country’s all-time leading World Cup scorer with 11 goals.
Meanwhile, Croatia defeated Ghana, dominating possession throughout the game.
