The United States President, Donald Trump, has unveiled the design of a new commemorative U.S. passport bearing his portrait as part of celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Trump disclosed the new design on Friday through a post on his Truth Social platform, where he described it as "The U.S.A.'s New Passport, which says, 'Welcome, but be good!'"

Images shared by the president show a sample passport page featuring Trump seated behind the historic Resolute Desk, with the text of the original Declaration of Independence serving as the background and his signature appearing at the bottom of the page.

The facing page carries American artist John Trumbull's iconic painting, *The Declaration of Independence*, depicting the presentation of the draft Declaration to the Continental Congress in 1776.

The portrait used in the commemorative passport appears to be a rendering based on Trump's official portrait displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. It differs from an earlier version of the commemorative passport artwork released by the U.S. State Department when the project was first announced.
