Senate speaker Amason Kingi and Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya have urged Coast communities to chart the way forward of the region ahead of the next polls.
They drummed up support for President William Ruto 2027 re-election bid in Taita Taveta County.
In their consultative forums with grassroots leaders in Voi and Taveta Sub Counties yesterday, Kingi and Mvurya disclosed that they are also working with Mining CS Hassan Joho to unite and mobilise the Coast communities to vote in one basket in the next polls.
“Leaders in the region have for years been reading from different scripts and have not been working together. This time round we need to work together for the future destiny of the region that has been voting for the opposition for years. This time round we have to be in government,” Mr Kingi told the forum in Voi town.
