The former John Lewis shop assistant, who has a million online followers, travelled to there after meeting Treeby on Facebook.Thereza said: "This has been an overwhelming and heartbreaking experience for our family. Brooke is a loving, ambitious young woman who has always embraced life with determination and believed the world was full of opportunities. Nothing ever held her back, and those who know her understand her kind heart and strong spirit."Thereza made the comments on a JustGiving account she has set up in the hope of raising £75,000 to help cover legal and travel costs to support model Brooke in Dubai. She added: "As a family, we are trying to raise funds to help support Brooke and cover the significant legal and family-related costs during this incredibly difficult time."We are asking for any support—big or small—to help us navigate the challenges ahead. Your kindness, generosity, and prayers mean more to us than words can express."Pressure group Detained in Dubai, who are representing Brooke's family, claim she stabbed Treeby in self defence after being repeatedly assaulted. It has since been revealed he was facing cocaine charges and had been previously convicted of attacking a woman.Treeby, whose dad Jack, 43, was murdered by relatives in a hit-and-run attack after a property dispute in Maidstone in 2009, was given a suspended prison sentence for wounding and common assault at Maidstone Crown Court in 2023 and was due to stand trial next year charged in connection with plotting to supply cocaine and cannabis worth £80,000.Treeby was one of seven suspects charged after an investigation by Kent Police ’s County Lines and Gangs Team. George, of Gravesend, Kent, is being held at the notorious Bur Dubai police station. She said her first visit to the country lasted about a week and was positive, describing it as “the time of my life”. But on her second trip in June, she allegedly accused Treeby of booking her a one-way ticket, taking her passport and attacking her. There was reportedly a fight at a flat after the pair enjoyed an evening out. She alleged she was attacked and reached for a kitchen knife to defend herself. George is said to have arranged a flight home with help from friends, but was arrested in the early hours of June 22 at Dubai International Airport. After her arrest, she claims she was denied a lawyer and forced to strip naked in front of male officers. She described the experience as “deeply humiliating and distressing”. Sha has been interviewed by police since her arrest, but has reportedly not had access to a lawyer or a translator.Detained in Dubai CEO Radha Stirling said: “This case is deeply personal to me. Years ago, I was the last person to speak to a man in Dubai before he was executed by firing squad. We spoke just 30 minutes before his death, and I have never forgotten that conversation.“Knowing Brooke is facing a charge that carries the death penalty, I cannot overstate how concerned I am for her. Brooke is just 23 years old. Only days ago she experienced what she describes as a terrifying and traumatic ordeal.“Instead of receiving the legal and psychological support that would ordinarily be available to a young woman claiming she acted in self defence after alleged abuse, she remains without proper access to legal representation. Every day that passes places her at an even greater disadvantage."Ms Stirling added: “There have been increasing reports of women being lured to Dubai with promises of luxury lifestyles, paid work, holidays or romantic relationships, only to later allege that they were subjected to sexual exploitation.”Article continues belowThe Foreign Office said: “We are in touch with a British woman detained in the UAE.”
